MedSurg/ER Float RNs

Job Description

A North Dakota critical access hospital is looking for multiple MedSurg/ER float nurses to assist with coverage starting in late October. The hospital has coverage needs both days and nights, as well as weekends. Clinicians are scheduled in blocks (3 days in a row) on rotating day and night shift schedules. The clinicians will also need to work every third weekend. The chosen clinicians will be covering the ED and inpatient acute care units as well as a 15 bed swing unit for long term care patients. The inpatient unit sees pneumonia, UTI, cellulitis, chest pain, etc. The ED has a low volume, usually 5-6 patients per day. There are 20 COVID patients at this facility at this time. This position may include clinical responsibilities described as High Risk or Very High Risk of exposure to COVID-19 by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
