Job Description
Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Location: Illinois
Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital
Length of Assignment: 6 or 12 weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control on imaging equipment
- Coordinate with cardiologists for patient schedules
- Order and receive radiopharmaceutical doses
- Verify patient identifiers and explain examination procedures
- Conduct nuclear medicine imaging and stress tests
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Assist with cardiology and EKG procedures during downtime
- Operate Philip CareStream PACS and Meditech Expanse EMR systems
- Work independently and collaborate with cardiologists for stress tests and EKGs
- Handle 1-2 outpatients and up to 5 inpatients daily
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Ability to work independently
- DOT, IEMA, ARRT(N) or NMTCB certifications
- BLS certification
- Current Illinois state license
