Job Title: Surgical Technician

Job Location: New Hampshire

Type of Facility: Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM shifts with some call coverage

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Assist in a wide variety of cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic procedures, including:

 - CABG, Valve replacements, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR

 - Carotid endarterectomy, fistula creation/interventions

 - VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass

 - Angiograms with interventions

 - LVAD, RVAD, ECMO

- Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies

- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments

- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and providing technical support

- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures

- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including RNs and surgeons

- Participate in on-call rotations with 30-minute callback time

- Provide Level 2 trauma coverage for all vascular and thoracic procedures

- Adhere to all safety protocols and hospital policies

- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR system

Requirements:

- Active New Hampshire state license or ability to obtain one

- Minimum 2 years of experience

- ACLS and BLS certifications

- Strong experience in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures

- Proficiency with Meditech EMR system

- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy equipment
