Job Description

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse

Job Location: Oregon

Type of Facility: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM + On-Call rotation

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Participate in 15-20 minute morning huddles prior to shift

- Provide skilled nursing care in the Operating Room

- Float between the 19-bed Medical/Surgical Unit (including pediatric inpatient and swing-bed skilled nursing care) and the 6-bed Intensive/Critical Care Unit as needed

- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 when possible

- Utilize Epic EMR and McKesson PACs systems

- Collaborate with hospitalists, MDs, APPs, and other nursing staff

- Participate in on-call rotation (1 weekend per month and 1 day per week)

Requirements:

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

- Current Oregon RN license without restrictions

- Certification of Completion from an AORN recognized RNFA course

- Current CNOR certification with required Continuing Education

- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications

- CRNFA certification preferred

- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse
