Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate travel Occupational Therapist specializing in lymphedema treatment to staff our client's hospital starting in September for a 13 week assignment as a part of their outpatient rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for lymphedema patients

- Implement evidence-based interventions and modalities to manage lymphedema symptoms[8]

- Document patient progress, evaluations, and discharge summaries using electronic medical records (EMR) systems

- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care[3]

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lymphedema treatment techniques and best practices


Qualifications

- Licensed Occupational Therapist with valid state licensure

- Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or willingness to obtain certification

- Minimum 1 year of experience in lymphedema therapy

- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

- Proficiency in EMR systems, including Cerner and Meditech


Work Schedule

- Full-time position (40 hours per week)

- Starting in Early September 2024

- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM



Patient Care

- Treat 4-5 patients per day in 1.5-hour blocks[6]

- 1:1 patient ratio

- Adult to geriatric patient population


Team Environment

- Work alongside 4 Physical Therapists and 5 Physical Therapist Assistants

- Collaborate with CODA for treatment planning


Additional Information

- 13-week contract with possibility of extension

- Outpatient setting

- No float responsibilities
