Job Description
Job Title: MRI Technologist
Job Location: New York
Type of Facility: Hospital
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: Friday - Monday, 8 AM - 6:30 PM (4 10-hour shifts)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans independently on both inpatients and outpatients
- Conduct quality control procedures and equipment maintenance
- Research and verify patient implants for MRI safety
- Obtain radiologist approval for certain patient scans
- Occasionally work with ventilated patients from ICU
- Assist with patient transport from ICU and other departments when needed
- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation
- Collaborate with tech aides and other imaging staff
Requirements:
- New York state license
- ARRT (MR) and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience, including 1 year on a GE scanner
- Experience working independently
