Medical Lab Technician – West Virginia

Job Description

Requirements:

• Valid Medical Lab Technician license in West Virginia

• Certifications: AMT, ASCP

• 5-6 years of experience preferred

Schedule:

• 13-week assignment

• Start date: Immediately

• Work hours: 40 hours per week, with shifts either evenings or nights (3 12-hour shifts Friday-Sunday or 7 on/7 off)

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures

• Conduct phlebotomy and manage blood draws

• Handle micro setups and gram stains

• Work with various lab equipment including Ortho Vitros, CA600, XN550, and Biofire

Additional Information:

• Critical access hospital with a 20-bed capacity and a long-term care unit

• Patient population includes all ages, with occasional neonates for blood draws

• Float to ER or floor for lab draws as needed
