Job Description
Job Title: Emergency Room NurseÂ
Job Location: Washington
Type of Facility: Hospital
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: 12 hour night shifts (7p - 7a) for 3 nights per week, and a 6 on/8 off rotation
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide direct patient care and supervise care provided by other staff
- Assess and plan for patient and family educational needs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement nursing and medical plans
- Demonstrate professionalism through quality care, leadership, and continuous professional development
- Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives
- Float to CCU if needed (experience preferred but not required)
- Utilize Cerner EMR system
Requirements:
- 2+ years of ER nursing experience
- Current Washington state nursing license
- ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NIHSS certifications
- Emergency Service Index training
- Willingness to float to CCU
