Job Description

A hospital in North Dakota is looking for immediate coverage at a small, critical access level 5 trauma facility. The COVID volume has been very low for the last couple of months. They need someone to float from MedSurg to swing bed to ER. The ER only gets about 5 cases per day. Typical cases include pneumonia, COPD, UTI, Cardiac, Stroke, Infusion, Wound Care, Cellulitis, Chest pain, etc. Swing bed adds LTC aspect to their facility, they have elderly residents that pay to stay there (similar to a nursing home) 15 bed swing unit (14-15 LTC patients). DON and ADON will do the scheduling, however, if there was a call out on the shift they are charge for they would be the one calling people to see if they can cover. If other nurses are tied up they might be caring for 1-2 patients. Ideally candidates would be rotated from Days & Nights every other week. It is preferred for the nurse to have ACLS, BLS, with TNCC.
