Job Description

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

Job Location: Virginia

Type of Facility: Cardiovascular Service Unit

Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Administer and recover conscious sedation

- Perform venous access procedures

- Circulate and monitor patients during procedures

- Conduct pre-assessments and patient recovery

- Assist in left heart catheterizations, Impella, IABP, and pacemaker procedures

- Support arteriography, venography, atherectomy, angioplasty, and stenting procedures

- Assist with biopsies, drains, dialysis catheter placements, chest tubes, centesis, and kyphoplasty

- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in the procedure room and 3-4 patients to 1-2 RNs in the holding area

- Utilize Meditech EMR and MERGE procedure documentation system

- Operate GE monitors and other specialized equipment

- Participate in STEMI call rotations

- Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience

- Active Virginia RN License

- Current BLS and ACLS certifications

- Proficiency in conscious sedation administration and recovery

- Experience with various cardiac and vascular procedures
