MedSurg/PCU Step Down Float RN

Job Description

A hospital in Georgia is looking for a registered nurse to assist with a coverage need starting immediately. The hospital needs a clinician who can work 12 hour shifts. This is a small 133 bed rural hospital. COVID patients are not held here. All COVID patients go in the ER and then are transported. The step down unit is where they provide patient care before/while they are being transported to larger hospitals in the area. When not working in the 5 bed PCU, the clinician will float to the MedSurg unit. Most patients come from the ER or surgery. This position may include clinical responsibilities described as High Risk or Very High Risk of exposure to COVID-19 by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
